Mog & Rue in Encinitas is a mod yet sleek space housing some major designers under one roof. Situated in the Encinitas Lumberyard outdoor shopping plaza, Mog & Rue is a petite, uncluttered boutique with white walls, dark brown floors and fresh flowers. Racks of beautiful clothing line the walls while large white shelves display accessories including belts, jewelry, hats and shoes. Mod bar stools are positioned in front of the counter to create a friendly, comfortable yet unparalleled atmosphere.

Owner, Kristen Di Zinno, a native New Yorker, has introduced an east meets west concept to the store and features the best designers from both coasts including: 7 for all mankind, Alice & Olivia, Alternative, Anlo Denim, Fluxus, Frock!, Gypsy 05, HATattack, J Brand, Jack Rogers, James Jeans, LA Made, Level 99, Milly, Mystique Sandals, Rachel Pally, Rock & Republic, Sam Edelman, Splendid, T-bags and Trina Turk.

Not only does Kristen own a fabulous boutique, but she also holds fashion design drawing classes, targeted to ages eight to fourteen, in order to help young aspiring designers realize their dreams. These classes cover style, fashion careers, trends, dressing, colors and what not to wear and also teach students the formal names of clothing and how to sketch them.
